“This is a follow-up of previous partnership which includes teaching.聽For this (cooperation, ed), the field is more specific, mentoring students of STIK (College of Police Science) in doing the final assignment, “explained Police brigadier General聽Drs.聽Fiandar who represents the police force on the occasion.
According to Fiandar, STIK and UNAIR have something in common. Both institutions wanted to develop education within their respective scope.聽Progress and social development of the current community, he added, demand the institutions to adapt its education systems as an effort to improve the quality of human resources for the general public, and internal element of the Police.
“In the field of education, research, and community service, we always involve all elements, the community especially universities.聽It is in accordance with Higher Education Tri Dharma: education, research, and community service, ” he said.
Fiandar also said that in addition to improve the quality of education in STIK, the cooperation is established on the basis of efficiency, time and material efficiency.聽Because, he added, all this time, STIK students mentoring in doing the final task is usually done in Jakarta.
With the MoU, the guidance can be implemented by universities that have established cooperation with the Police and it is focused on regional police bases.

Meanwhile, Prof.聽Dr.聽H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak, CMA., in his remarks stated that one of UNAIR’s vision is to become a pioneer in the development of science.聽It matches with this partnership with the Police.
“This partnership will continue to be strengthened as the quality of education is an investment of civilization and the progress of this nation in the future, “he said.聽“In addition, UNAIR has a forensic master’s degree.聽A cooperation in this field has also often done.聽For example for handling Airasia victims, “he added.
At the end, Prof Nasih hoped the synergy will continue to be nurtured and strengthened by collaborating each other’s potential.聽In addition, he thanked the Police Force for the trust.
