UNAIR NEWS – Towards World鈥檚 Top 500 universities (World Class University),聽东京热 continues to collaborate with various institutions, not only with educational institutions in the country but also abroad.聽One of them is Asia University, Taiwan.
UNAIR Vice Rector I Prof.聽Djoko Santoso, dr., Ph.D., K-GH., FINASIM signed a partnership program聽on internship with the Dean of International College Asia University Prof. Yinghuei Chen.聽The signing session of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was held in Kahuripan Hall 301 on Wednesday, January 9.
Previously, UNAIR and Asia University had collaborated on a聽double degree聽which later developed into an聽internship program.聽For this collaboration, UNAIR gives opportunities for students to take part in student exchanges.聽Students are also given the opportunity to gain insight and develop their research.
The signing of the MoA聽on intership program聽is one of UNAIR programs in developing and exploring education between UNAIR Vice Rector I and Dean of International College Asia University.
“UNAIR will always improve cooperation with Asia University in order to achieve UNAIR towards World Class University,” said Prof. Djoko.
Prof. Djoko also added that UNAIR was very concerned about all aspects of the university. It should not only emphasize the formal education learning, but collaboration in research and academic publications is also an important key in improving reputation of the university.
Director of Airlangga Global Engagement Prof.聽Dr.聽Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, Dra., M.Si said that in the future Prof.聽Chen will hold a symposium and workshop at the Center for Indonesian Studies, Taiwan.聽The symposium and workshop involved 10 Indonesian students from master鈥檚 and doctoral programs.
“This conference will be attended by students by exploring the research conducted while in Taiwan.聽Then later on, expert from UNAIR will be invited to be keynote speaker聽in the event, “said Prof. Nyoman.
After the signing of MoA, an intensive discussion was held related to cooperation in the future on internships and training.聽The internship program will be divided into two, direct internship and internship plus student exchange.
This student exchange program will provide opportunities for students in Indonesia to gain new experience.聽Students are also advised to join the communities there.
“This collaboration will provide benefits for both parties, both for and Asia University,” stated Prof. Nyoman.聽(*)
