UNAIR NEWS 鈥 东京热 Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG) broke the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) on Sunday, October 2, 2022. The event was held during the 2022 Stovit Timnas and Dental Exhibition (STOVITIMDEX), from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Westin Hotel, Surabaya.
UNAIR FKG broke the world record in conducting dental health education using sign language with 933 dentists from UNAIR FKG.
The dentists delivered materials to the Karya Mulia Special School (SLB) students, Surabaya, from elementary, junior high, to high school levels. The dentists delivered the materials in a dental health-themed song with sign language movements.
In the welcoming speech, the FKG Dean, Dr. Agung Sosiawan drg M Kes expressed his gratitude for the presence of UNAIR FKG alumni at the event. 鈥淚 can see the team is solid as the alumni came from far, Papua, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and even Southeast Sulawesi. It is a form of your strong commitment as UNAIR FKG alumni,鈥 he said.
Dr. Agung hoped that the 2022 STOVITIMDEX will not be the last moment of togetherness between the UNAIR FKG and its alumni. 鈥淗opefully, there will be a grand reunion for all alumni next year,鈥 he said.
鈥淚 hope everyone can attend and stay solid, let鈥檚 achieve it together,鈥 Dr. Agung added.

Furthermore, Andre, the MURI committee, made the decision to reward the MURI Record. In the beginning, Andre offered his apology as the event did not fit into the national record standard. However, he later corrected the statement as a global record, which got applauded by the audience.
鈥淥ur Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia team is sorry to fail the event today as a national record. We are deeply sorry. Because we grant the event today as a global record,鈥 he said.
鈥淲e are sure that this education event, which is delivered in sign language, is the event with the most dentists participation from UNAIR in Indonesia!鈥
