UNAIR NEWS – To guarantee the organization maintenance in the future, the orientation of quality assurance is changing over time. So is quality assurance of ������ (UNAIR). To publicize its latest upgrade, Quality Assurance Board (BPM) UNAIR held a publicization on risk management of ISO 9001:2015 in Kahuripan Hall Room 301 on Thursday, May 12.

It was attended by Vice Rector III UNAIR, Prof. Ir. M. Amin Alamsjah, Ph.D, Head of  BPM UNAIR Prof. drh. Bambang Sektiari, Ph.D, faculties’ officials, and working units in UNAIR. It was also attended by Sholichin A. Darmawan as a speaker.

In his presentation, Sholichin said that ISO 9001:2015 oriented to continuity. It id different from berorientasi ISO 9001:2008 which only guarantees performances. To assure organization maintenance in the future, risks should be controlled.

“What guarantees organization to stay in operation? If the answer is belief then the belief should be based on analysis of risks. When the auditor comes, the thing he said will be “where’s the risks analysis?” said Sholichin who is also a consultant of PT. Decra Group Indonesia.

During interview, the Head of BPM UNAIR said that current UNAIR quality control management is changing from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 for this year. The transitional process was expected to finish in 2017 so the audit process in 2018, UNAIR will adopt the new standards.

As planned, BPM will publicizes this to faculties and working units in the near future. But according to Prof. Bambang, the most important thing is the mind set of all employess and officials in UNAIR should be risk based thinking.

“How can we manage the risks, and how the risk management can be implemented in all aspects,” he said. (*)
