UNAIR聽NEWS –聽厂补鈥檕听狈驳补锄补聽is a traditional house of Wogo tribe, but a complete house with lots of symbolic attributes and meanings, and is also illustration of socio-cultural reality of Wogo tribe. But the value and meaning of this聽 厂补鈥檕听狈驳补锄补聽traditional house reduced by modern era.
That is what elaborated by Konfridus Roynaldus Buku, the best graduate of Master program in Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) 东京热 (UNAIR). He was graduated from Sociology Master program with GPA 3.76.
Reality of socio-cultural on Sa鈥檕 Ngaza was shaped by Wogo鈥檚 community cosmological view, the underworld (superficial power), middle world (daily life) and above world (sacred world). Through 厂补鈥檕听狈驳补锄补,聽the people of Wogo connect with their above world or gods. So Sa鈥檕 Ngaza functions as the place where they perform religious rituals and illustration of men and women responsibilities.
In the context of socio-cultural change, Roynaldus has recorded changes on Sa鈥檕 Ngaza meaning. First, religious ritual change. Second, demand shift of rights and obligations related to land ownership which finally started a conflict. Third, the equality principle which caused shift on the caste system in Wogo tribe.
鈥淕enerally, Wogo tribe now is maintaining the building鈥檚 authenticity of Sa鈥檕 Ngaza, but reality of socio-cultural has changed and shifted. It was influenced by encounter and contamination of many global cultural products,鈥 said the student from Flores. (*)
