UNAIR NEWS 鈥聽Understanding the need of new innovations on early disease detection, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of 东京热 held an international conference entitled 鈥淏iotechnology Strengthens Biomedical Science and Veterinary Medicine.鈥澛燭he conference took place on July 12-13 at Tandjung Adiwinata Hall, FKH UNAIR.
The meeting between young scientists from various countries discussed various topics in the field of animal health to solve problems related to human health.
There were 17 renowned speakers from various countries from three continents, Asia, Europe and Australia.聽It was an event of collaboration and synergy in improving research for academics in Indonesia, especially UNAIR.聽There were researchers from the Netherlands, Japan, Germany, Australia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Vice Dean I FKH UNAIR Prof.聽Dr.聽Fedik Abdul Rantam said that not only lecturers are required to make new innovations, but also the students.聽At least lecturers and students make paper published internationally.
“Conference like this is also to familiarize the students mentally so they won鈥檛 give up easily in doing research, especially if it is at international level,” explained Prof.聽Fedik who also acts as Head of the committee of聽The Veterinary Medicine International Conference 2017听.
The conference was opened with a remo dance, followed by about 200 participants consisting of lecturers, researchers, and students.聽From Indonesia, participants come from UNAIR, Gadjah Mada University, Hasanuddin University, and Bogor Agricultural University.
On the first day, after the presentations from eight speakers from Asia and Europe, there was exposure of research results from 24 parallel speakers.聽They are divided into four clusters, including Biomedical Science, Reproduction, and One Health.
Eight of these materials include聽Wild Infection / Fever, Skin Stem Cell Resource Potential for Peripheral Nerve Repair, Aplication of Metabolomics in Biomedical and Related Science, Avian Influenza Virus Circulation in Environment, 21st Century Diseases Threat and Epidemiology, Molecular characterization of Hepatitis Virus in Indonesia and New Adjuvant and Vaccine Technology.
On the second day, the event continued with the presentations from nine speakers from Asia and Australia.聽The outcomes of this conference are Scopus indexed journals and papers discussing animal and human health issues in the world.聽(*)
