UNAIR NEWS –聽Students and organizations are two things that cannot be separated.聽The choices of existing organizations become alternatives for students to develop their potential.聽To that end,聽UNAIR NEWS聽interviewed Miftahul Firdaus as Head of Student Executive Board (BEM), Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), .
The student from Banyuwangi said that organization is very important.聽He gained a lot of things from organization, especially experience and knowledge for the future.
“I think the organization is something that cannot be separated with students who study in campus, because the organization is a place for learning, working, innovating.聽Organization is very important for us as students, we are able to find our true identity as intellectuals in organization, “he said.
During college, the man known as Daus attended various organizations such as BEM FST 2016, HIMATIKA (Mathematics Student Association), and BEM FST 2018. With organizational experience at Junior and Senior High School, Daus feels that there was no difficulty regarding time management between his study and organizations.
Regarding the mandate as the Head of BEM FST 2018, Daus said that both parents are very supportive of his activities.聽However, Daus’s parents were also worried about at first for his academic activities.
“My parents were afraid of my academic activities and they almost forbid him to join organizations.聽With his approach, finally, they gave their bless.聽But the parents emphasized that his study should not be forgotten, “said student who likes to play badminton.
Being active in organizations is indeed a choice.聽Sometimes, some students still have doubts whether the organizations give positive impact on them.聽The man who was born on May 3, 1997 said that being involved in the organization made someone more developed.
“By involving self in organizations, we can be more developed.聽Do not only look at the tiring moments.聽It is tiring for sure, but there will be many benefits that can be taken from it, instead it is our investments for the future.聽The importance of the organization is not measurable, but we can feel it, “he concluded.
