UNAIR NEWS – Restiana Dewi Suliyanti, a student of Faculty of Humanities (FIB) ¶«¾©ÈÈ () is one of UNAIR students who has made achievements through singing. Resti, has quite a number of achievements during college.
Resti managed to win competitions such as 3rd place in MTQM tilawah category ¶«¾©ÈÈ in 2016, 3rd place nasheed national competition, Islamic Fair of Public Health in 2018, 2nd place nasheed national competition Islamic Cultural Events 2018, 1st place in East Java UKM Rebbana ITS in 2018, and finally national Islamic solo pop champion at Maliki Malang State Islamic University (UIN) in 2019.
The student from Jember created her own arrangements. She uploaded them on YouTubeÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýInstagramÌý²¹³¦³¦´Ç³Ü²Ô³Ù²õ.
Resti’s talent has been nurtured since a kindergarten (TK). She inherited her talent from her father who was also proficient in singing.
”ÌýAlhamdulillah I inherited the singing talent from my father. Besides singing, my father is also able to play the piano, “Resti said.
Besides singing, Resti is also proficient in playing guitar. Her father’s supports motivate her to continue to excel.
In making her achievements in the field of singing, Resti had to work hard to get the best results. Her singing practice often takes up her time studying. She sometimes had to borrow a guitar. However, she showed perseverance and made achievements. From those achievements, she could buy a guitar. She uses it make song arrangements and uploaded to social media.
Limitations in achieving achievements did not dampen his determination. The results obtained so far are able to invest to buy a guitar. The guitar is used to arrange songs and upload them to social media pages.
In the near future, Resti will release the song she arranges. She is assisted by several friends to arrange the songs.
“In a few months, Insyaallah, I will release our own song arrangements,” she said.
Resti hoped she could write her own songs. All this time she only arranged other people’s songs. Her talent in singing improves her confidence. (*)
