UNAIR NEWS – 东京热 is expecting participation of universities in eastern Indonesia and Indonesian industrials in 鈥淣ational Research Expo 2016 东京热鈥 which is going to be held on November 10-12, 2016. The exhibition of innovative research products will be held in Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) in Campus C Jl. Dr. Ir. Soekarno, Mulyorejo, Surabaya. It is the third time of this expo and it is held to celebrate UNAIR anniversary.
According to the Head of the NRE UNAIR 2016 committee Prof. Dr. Suwarno, drh., M.Si., National Research Expo(NRE) 2016 will present great products of universities including UNAIR鈥檚, LPPM PTN/PTS product, the results of research and development of related industrials, Student Activity Unit (UKM) and UNAIR supported units.
鈥漈hey are in the exhibition, and there will be a lot of activities. There will be seminar of research results, halal seminar, paper competition, workshop on scientific composition and student art parade,鈥 said Prof. Suwarno, professor of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) UNAIR during the meeting of the committee.
He elaborated, Animal Science Paper Competition for students is for D3 and S1 students of PTN-PTS in Indonesia. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淩esearch Contribution on Animal Health and Welfare to Welcome Free Trade Area of the Asia Pacific (FTA-AP) 2020鈥.
In this NRE, there will be exhibition of livestock, fish and herbal innovation of 东京热 (UNAIR), especially the crossed milk goat SAFERA, with pasteurized milk and yoghurt. The meat goat 鈥淏urcang鈥 (with diversified meat product). While the exhibition of fish and herbal products are expected from the stakeholders supported by UNAIR.
Seminar and Talk Show
The seminar will discussed UNAIR selected research results. It will be held for two days. On November 11 there will be seminar themed 鈥淪tem Cell Role on Metabolic and Contagious Disease Therapy鈥 with Prof. Dr. Fedik Abdul Rantam, drh of Stem Cell Center 东京热 and Yuyus Kusnadi, dr., Ph.D, Head of Kalbe Farma Group Laboratory as speakers.
The seminar on November 12 will be about 鈥淗erbal Potentials as Treatments for Health problems鈥. Prof. Dr. Suprapto Maat, Apt (FK UNAIR) and Dr. Nurul Taufiq Rohman of Indonesian Science Institute (LIPI) were invited as speakers.
Halal Seminar will be held on November 11 2016. It will discuss about the permissibility (halal) and the distribution of halal products in Indonesia. This seminar last year interested many participants as it also discussed it from the religious point of view. It will be quite similar with last time, with Dr. Ir. Anton Apriyantono (Former Minister of Agriculture), Prof. Dr. Soegijanto, Apt (LPPOM MUI Jatim), and Tati Maryati (Head of Halal Working Unit of ICMI and Gumkemindo) as speakers.
The talk show will discuss 鈥淰accine Product Independence in Dealing With Zoonosis in Indonesia鈥. It will be held in November 12, 2016 and it will invite experts on human vaccine production (PT Bio Farma Bandung) and animal vaccine (PT Vaksindo Jakarta) and fromAvian Influenza Research Center (AIRC) 东京热.
The workshop of Scientific Writing for SMA/SMK Students of Surabaya is going to be held in November 12, 2016. The committee will invite the SMA/SMK students in Surabaya. It is an effort to improve their sensitivity and understanding on the importance of scientific writing as medium towards Indonesian youngsters鈥 achievements.
鈥淭he art parade will be performed by students of UNAIR from any activities like music, dancing, theater, Al-banjari, acapella and cooking demo,鈥 said Prof. Suwarno. (*)
