UNAIR NEWS –聽Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH), 东京热, Prof.聽Dr.聽Pudji Srianto, drh., M.Kes., is the next dean featured聽in UNAIR NEWS as special coverage of “Dean Kita”.聽Met on Monday, January 15, the dean who was known as Prof.聽Pudji was told various tips and strategies to bring FKH UNAIR to global stage.
Before disclosing various tips and strategies, Prof.聽Pudji first expressed that his determination to become a dean was a personal desire.聽It was based on the responsibility that needs to be continued after serving as Vice Dean II FKH UNAIR for two periods.
“While serving as vice dean, I feel there is a responsibility that must be continued,” he explained.
About strategy, Prof.聽Pudji said that the steps for internationalization of FKH UNAIR have been done earlier.聽In fact, before the declaration of UNAIR to be a world-class university, FKH UNAIR has launched it first.聽 Prof.聽Pudji showed that it can be seen from聽visiting professor聽activities聽and聽inbound聽and聽outbound聽student activities聽.
“For the next internationalization step, FKH UNAIR will just need to expand the network,” he added.
In this regard, various steps should to be improved, especially in improving the quality of Human Resources (HR).聽In addition, Prof. Pudji added, FKH UNAIR continues to encourage the academic community to study abroad and to improve the publication of international journals scopus indexed.聽It is the real effort of FKH UNAIR.
“To contribute to our joint program, we ask lecturers and students to be active in research.聽And of course, the outputs are international journal or proceedings in seminars, “he explained.
At the end, Prof.聽Pudji explained the various challenges his faculty faces.聽The biggest challenge faced is technology in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary to prepare graduates who are ready to work in the field.
“Therefore we open a specialization group and internships in faculty, alumni or聽stakeholder partners.聽It has been prepared to produce graduates who are confident and able to handle problems in general, “he added.
Then, with qualified human resources, Prof.聽Pujdi continued to be determined to make FKH UNAIR contribute more solving problems both in the national and international arena.
“This is what we pursue with the ability that we have,” he concluded.
