UNAIR NEWS –聽东京热 () students must be selective in choosing a leader, especially in terms of the desired criteria.聽The criteria become a benchmark used in the selection of leaders, one example is the election of Head and Deputy of 2019 UNAIR Student Executive Board (BEM). It was stated by Shyndy as Head of Student Legislative Board (BLM) FPK UNAIR on Thursday, March 21, 2019.
The criteria for Head and Deputy of 2019 BEM UNAIR Candidates was one of the main topics of discussion of UNAIR Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) Aspiration Screening on that day.聽Shyndy added, the topic was aimed at capturing the aspiration of FPK students regarding the figure of Head of BEM they wanted to build FPK UNAIR.
“So, this criteria is a benchmark used in MPM later to choose which candidate pairs are appropriate with the criteria desired by FPK,” Shyndy explained.
The MPM meeting, continued Shyndy, is usually done for the election of university’s BEM leadership.聽The election is usually conducted through聽voting聽session, but in UNAIR it is done through consensus meeting from MPM.聽MPM consists of two delegates from Student Legislative Council (DLM) of each faculty and one Head of Faculty BEM, Head secretary of Communication Forum, added Shyndy.
Although the election of Head and Deputy of BEM UNAIR was carried out directly by MPM, FPK held a Student Aspiration Screening on Thursday night.聽This is done to bridge and form a collaboration between DLM and BLM to unite the voices and criteria expected by entire FPK community.
Shyndy also explained that Student Aspiration Screening activity was always conducted at each faculty legislative board.聽For this year the activity was carried out as a collaboration between DLM and BLM FPK.
This Student Aspiration Screening activity will help the DLM and BLM representatives who will attend the MPM session on Friday, March 22, 2019.聽It was stated by Rafi Adi as a member of FPK UNAIR’s DLM.
“We cannot decide with only our own decision.聽We are chosen by you, and we must bring your voice, “said Rafi Adi.聽Rafi also said that each student has a different perspective.
For this reason, through the Student Aspiration Screening, at least the criteria desired by all UNAIR students is achieved.
In the end of the event, there were six criteria proposed by Student Aspiration Screening on Thursday, morality, capable of maintaining commitment, capable of聽branding the聽faculty, comprehensive, neutral, and having a good narrative to advance UNAIR.
“We must have one voice.聽Why?聽The criteria we want are shared criteria.聽We have our own views, and try to get one voice.聽We are here for the common interest not for the interests of the group, “stressed Akbar as Head of 2019 BEM FPK UNAIR while giving the final statement in the end of the event.
