UNAIR NEWS聽– Increasing the number of Scopus publications and international programs was the main topic of Management Meeting for the First Quarter 2018 of 东京热 (UNAIR) 2018. It was a very important discussion as UNAIR is one of the state universities (PTN) targeted to reach Top 500 World Class University (WCU) by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) in 2020.
The meeting held at the Hall of Amerta, 4th Floor, UNAIR Management Building was followed by the leaders;聽dean;聽vice dean;聽heads of centers, boards and institututes;聽head of departments;聽as well as the head of study programs at UNAIR.聽In addition to evaluations, the meeting was a media to strengthen cross-sectoral steps and measures to achieve the targets.聽Various institutional achievements were also presented at the meeting.
Vice Rector III of UNAIR Prof.聽Ir.聽Moch.聽Amin Alamsjah, M.Si., Ph.D., in his speech revealed that communication and synergy between institutions is the key, especially in the process towards achieving the targets of UNAIR development in the future.
“This united step becomes mandatory in development process,” he said.
Regarding the fast-paced global development, according to Prof.聽Amin, responsiveness of UNAIR as an institution should also be improved.
UNAIR Rector Prof.聽Dr.聽H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak, CMA., explained that in the future, UNAIR focuses on efforts to fulfill criteria towards WCU’s reputation.聽One of them is related to the Scopus publication.
Prof.聽Nasih added, efforts to fulfill the number of publications are needed.聽However, efforts to meet the quantity is not the main point and quality is also important.
“The number of Scopus publications is pushed to increase.聽However, quality aspects remain a priority, “he said.聽“As well as possible, quantity should also be accompanied by quality,” he added.
Meanwhile, in the meeting, the topic of the discussion was divided into four fields.聽Field 1 consists of accreditation and achievements.聽Field 2, human resources (HR), budget, and infrastructure achievements.聽Field 3, publications and citations, articles and proceedings Scopus.聽And field 4, research achievements, faculty, work units, and webometrics.聽(*)
