FISIP Holds International Event

The speakers in the international seminar and the moderator on Monday morning, November 13.

UNAIR NEWS –聽One of the most active faculties for holding international conferences and seminars is the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP).聽In his speech at the聽International Post-Graduate Conference on Media and Communication聽held by Master of Media and Communication, the Dean of FISIP, Falih Suaedi said that for this year, he has already attended six events.

“Prior to this event, I gave a speech at five similar international events.聽This is the proof of consistency and academic atmosphere in FISIP never goes out, ” he said in the Hotel Harris Ballroom, Monday morning, November 13.

He added that there are many majors or courses in this faculty that has been accredited A as well as accredited at international level.聽It shows that FISIP is ready to graduate good and competitive graduates.聽“The Department of Communication Science of UNAIR is among the best in Indonesia.聽UI (University of Indonesia) is the only competition, “he said.

FISIP also continues to hold guest lectures inviting great people, for example, which will be held by Master of Media and Communication program, next Wednesday, November 15.聽Dahlan Iskan, one of the senior journalists and owner of Jawa Pos Group, was asked to share his knowledge.聽“Pak Dahlan is also ready to be an outstanding lecturer at UNAIR.聽He was enthusiastic when we invite for a synergy, ” said Falih.

Head of Department of Communication Science聽Dr. Yayan Sakti Suryandaru said that the international conference that was held on Monday at Harris Hotel could also be a discussion for academics.聽The goal was to formulate a solution to the existing problems in the country, particularly, in the realm of media and communication.聽“We are happy to be able to host this event.聽We are also honored because the audience and the speakers are pleased to be present, “he said.

In this conference, there were 160 participants as presenters and as participants.聽They came from many cities in the country and some were from Palestine and 聽France.

Three experts who were asked as聽 speakers聽were Prof.聽Dr.聽Sharyn Graham Davies from Auckland University of Technology, Prof.聽Dr.聽Gati Gayatri, MA, from Literacy and Professional Research and Development Center of Ministry of Communications and Informatics, and Dr. Ir.聽Kuskridho Ambardi, MA., Executive Director of the Indonesian Survey Institute.聽(*)
