FEB鈥檚 Asian Journal of Accounting Research (AJAR) becomes the first Indonesian Accounting Journal indexed by Scopus

UNAIR NEWS 鈥聽To be a聽World Class University,聽聽made another brilliant international achievement.聽This time, the Asian Journal of Accounting Research (AJAR) Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR has succeeded in becoming the first accounting journal in Indonesia to be indexed by聽Scopus.

UNAIR NEWS interviewed Iman Harymawan SE., MBA.聽Ph.D.,聽Editor in Chief AJAR Journal.聽According to him, the assessment of the journal was conducted by the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB).

CSAB is an international group of scientists, researchers, and librarians responsible for reviewing all suggested journal titles for聽Scopus.聽The Asian Journal of Accounting Research (AJAR) first submitted a journal submission for聽Scopus聽on February 19, 2021.

The next stage was the validation process, followed by the enrichment stage.聽Furthermore, the journal is ready to be submitted and reviewed by CASB.聽CASB conducted a聽review聽and finally determined AJAR to be a聽Scopus聽indexed accounting journal聽on August 28, 2021.

Dr.聽Iman and the editorial team are grateful that AJAR has been named the first accounting journal in Indonesia.聽In the future, FEB UNAIR will strengthen the editorial team to聽attract聽many articles from international authors.

鈥淎lhamdulillah, AJAR is the first accounting journal in Indonesia (to be indexed by Scopus, ed).聽Of course, this is an important step for UNAIR and other journals in Indonesia to compete at the international level,鈥 he said.

At the end of Dr. Iman invited international researchers to publish their articles on AJAR to disseminate knowledge about the conditions and developments of accounting in Indonesia and Asia.

鈥淚 hope UNAIR鈥檚聽international visibility聽will be better.聽Networking expands, and more international authors will publish on AJAR,鈥 he concluded.

Besides being indexed by聽Scopus, AJAR is also indexed by the聽Australian Business Deans Council聽(ABDC).聽Next, AJAR will aim for the Social Science Citation Index.聽The AJAR editorial team is led by Iman Harymawan SE., MBA.聽Ph.D.聽as editor in chief.

The Advisory Board consists of Prof. Kamran Ahmed from La Trobe University and Prof. Kabir Hassan from the University of New Orleans. AJAR鈥檚 Associate Editors come from various world-renowned universities such as Universiti Brunei Darussalam, 东京热, Coventry University, University of Wollongong Dubai, Illinois State University, Ahlia University, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Curtin University, and University of Turin.
