UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Nursing (FKp) is one of the most active faculties which hold international events such as conferences, seminars, or public lectures. The lecturers are also given the opportunity to go abroad and attend world class events. The goal is to support the program towards the World Class University which was declared UNAIR. FKp is ready to do anything for the ������  to achieve the top 500 world universities in the world.

“We conduct student exchanges, lecturer exchanges, joint researches, and other activities with overseas universities,” explained Prof. Dr. Nursalam., M.Nurs (Hons), Dean of FKp in his office on Friday, December 22.

The alumnus Lambton College, Sarnia Ontario, stated that the collaboration is intercontinental, across Asia, Australia, Europe, and America. “Our lecturers have also begun to depart and will continue to go to study abroad. Particularly, for doctoral programs, “explained the man who completed college at the University of Wolllongong.

One of FKp’s international conferences will be held in April 2018. There will be many countries participating. Interestingly, this is an annual routine event. Many delegations from Asia, Europe, Australia, and America have expressed their readiness to participate.

On the other hand, the Information and PR Coordinator of FKp Setho Hadisuyatmana, S.Kep.Ns., M.NS (CommHlth&PC) explained that the quality of the students have also been improved to be able to compete on the global level. Supporting facilities are prepared for them. In addition, they are also prepared for their entrepreneurial spirit. So they are not ready for their academic aspects, but also non-academic aspects.

“We give them freedom to be creative and innovative,” he explained during the Expo Nerspreneurship in the FKp yard on Tuesday, December 19.

FKp was established on June 20, 2008. On that date, Nursing Science undergraduate degree was the first time to be under the management of Faculty of Nursing and officially separated from FK UNAIR. Since its establishment, the Faculty of Nursing UNAIR aspires to be a leading center of nursing education and development at national and international levels.

Furthermore, the faculty located in Campus C UNAIR is also determined to produce superior, independent, and innovative nurses who excel on tropical disease nursing without excluding professional ethics.

Faculty of Nursing has become one of the nurse education centers in eastern Indonesia. Many graduates have performed and made contribution abroad. The focus of the lectures includes Maternity and Child Nursing, Nursing and Communication, Basic, Medical Surgery, and Critical Nursing. (*)
