UNAIR NEWS聽– To guarantee the safety and health of workers, (UNAIR) held a dissemination event to hand over Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) Employment cards to temporary employees (PTT) on Friday, December 21.
The event was held at Kahuripan Room 301 UNAIR Management Office was attended by Head of BPJS Employment Surabaya Karimunjawa Branch, Suharto;聽Vice Rector II, Dr.聽Muhammad Madyan, S.E, M.Si., M.Fin .;聽Director of Human Resources, Dr.聽Purnawan Basundoro, S.S., M.Hum;聽and representatives of temporary and permanent employees of UNAIR.
Dr.聽Purnawan said that the protection of employees and staff was UNAIR’s commitment from the start.聽It is aimed so the staff workers and education staff can work calmly without thinking about the risks while working.
Therefore, Dr.聽Purnawan expected positive feedback as UNAIR spends 125 million rupiah per month, or 1.5 billion rupiah per year for health and employment insurance premium for more than one thousand permanent and non-permanent employees.
“Hopefully all employees work as well as possible.聽Because, UNAIR not only finances and registers them in BPJS Employment, but also BPJS Healthcare.聽All premiums are paid by UNAIR, so there is no deduction from employee salaries, “said Dr.聽Purnawan.
Dr. Purnawan also expressed his appreciation to BPJS Employment Surabaya Branch Karimunjawa, which has worked well together in managing UNAIR employment guarantee fund.聽He hoped that this cooperation can continue to protect all employees, especially in UNAIR.
Meanwhile, Head of BPJS Surabaya Karimunjawa Branch, Suharto also expressed his gratitude to UNAIR for giving the opportunity to disseminate BPJS Employment to UNAIR workers. Suharto also mentioned several advantages of BPJS Employment.
“In general, the benefits for employees are assurance.聽Risk concerns for workers will cause declining productivity.聽The advantage for campus is the clear budget.聽So there is no need to use unexpected costs and it increases productivity, “explained Suharto.
Dr.聽Madyan, Vice Rector II UNAIR also said that this program is an effort by UNAIR to guarantee the human resources.聽They are expected to fully support the university to achieve the goals and ideals of the university.
“We hope from our participation in the program, the employees support UNAIR to be among world’s top 500 universities,” he concluded.
Not only handed over BPJS employment membership card, UNAIR also handed over accident compensation to employees who had just experienced an accident.
