Strategic gap

In line with Prof Efendi, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Community Development, Prof Dr Muhammad Miftahussurur dr MKes SpPD KGEH PhD FINASIM highlighted strategies to break through publication in reputable international journals. He mentioned one main key to publication success is the ability of researchers to find strategic gap. This refers to research aspects that have not received adequate attention from existing literature. 鈥淔inding strategic gap is very crucial because this will increase the probability of our research in providing significant contributions and being accepted in Q1 journals,鈥 he emphasized.

In addition to topic determination, scientific journal writing strategy that is structured is also important. According to him, writing order can start from Methods and Research Results sections first, then continue with other sections, and end with formulating Title. He emphasized that title formulation holds an important role for high global visibility. 鈥淢ake a title that is accurate, unambiguous, and as short as possible. Short and interesting titles are proven to tend to be cited more,鈥 he advised.
