UNAIR NEWS 鈥 东京热 (UNAIR) held a Monitoring and Evaluation Meeting for first and second quarter Key Performance Indicators Performance Achievements on Monday (July 13, 2026), at Kahuripan Room 301, Management Office Building, MERR-C Campus. The meeting brought together the University Secretary, heads of boards, directors of directorates, and heads of centers across UNAIR.
The meeting aimed to monitor and evaluate the completion of Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) reporting through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology鈥檚 SPEKTA portal. Vice Rector for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs, Prof Ir Mochammad Amin Alamsjah PhD noted that SAKIP reporting is not new to UNAIR.
鈥淩egarding data reporting, we already have a solid understanding of our key performance indicators and their achievement. Insyaallah, all the required data can be fulfilled properly,鈥 he stated.
More than an administrative requirement
Prof Alamsjah further explained that each program entered into the system must be accompanied by complete information, including targets, expected outputs, success indicators, responsible units, implementation schedules, and clear supporting evidence. 鈥淚ndicators that have not yet met their targets should be supported by acceleration plans that are specific, measurable, realistic, and bound by a clear timeline for completion,鈥 he added.
Regarding performance indicators, Prof Alamsjah emphasized that all units must ensure that indicator achievements are not merely administrative compliance. Instead, they should genuinely reflect improvements in academic quality, student affairs, research, governance, and the university鈥檚 long-term sustainability.
鈥淎chievement narratives are not sufficient if they only refer to coordination, optimization, or outreach activities. They must also demonstrate concrete outcomes and their contribution to improving performance indicators,鈥 he stated.
Involve the coordinating bodies
Meanwhile, Head of the Planning and Development Board (BPP) Prof Dr Dian Ekowati SE MSi MAppCom(OrgCh) PhD, explained that quarterly action plans had already been developed and incorporated into the system. She noted that it is therefore necessary to measure the achievement of key performance indicators on a quarterly basis.
Prof Ekowati added that coordinating bodies would be involved in the SAKIP reporting process. These coordinating bodies are responsible for documenting achievements, progress, challenges, and follow-up actions. 鈥淚n essence, we will carry out a comprehensive evaluation of our performance achievements by involving the coordinating bodies responsible for the attainment of each IKU,鈥 she said.
Through the monitoring and evaluation meeting, UNAIR also aims to further develop an integrated and automated internal SAKIP system, similar to the Performance Management System (SPMS). The initiative is intended to enable real-time and periodic monitoring of key performance indicators achievements across faculties. The system is expected to support monitoring and evaluation processes, identify performance gaps, and facilitate faster, more accurate, and data driven decision making and follow up actions.
