UNAIR NEWS –聽There was something different at the Heroes Day celebration organized by the academic community of 东京热.聽Unusual, the ceremony in the yard of Management Office building Campus C UNAIR became livelier because the Rector UNAIR Prof.聽Nasih asked some participants to imitate Bung Tomo鈥檚 speech.
Dozens of participants of the ceremony, from students and educational staff UNAIR raced to move forward.聽One by one the participants read and imitated Bung Tomo’s speech. It suddenly relived the struggle聽of Arek-arek Suroboyo in the middle of the sacredness of the ceremony.
Furthermore, dozens of participants who have finished reading and mimicking Bung Tomo鈥檚 speech was then selected by a judge appointed directly by the rector.聽One of the best participants was asked by the rector to read and repeat the speech at the university assembly of UNAIR, the 63rd Session of Dies Natalis held at Garuda Mukti Hall.
“I expect one of the best participants to read and imitate the speech of Bung Tomo at UNAIR Dies Natalis assembly,” pleaded Prof. Nasih after hearing and seeing the participants in the ceremony.
Furthermore, Prof. Nasih continued the ceremony.聽Based on the theme of Heroes Day celebration “Strengthening Unity to Build the Nation”, Prof. Nasih invited all participants to reduce dependence on other parties.
“Let us together fight all forms of colonization in any fields,” said Prof. Nasih.
In that short speech, Nasih reiterated that the Heroes Day commemoration is a momentum to honor the hero’s service and continue their noble ideals.
“With the anniversary of this Hero Day, let us all do our best to continue their aspirations for the realization of a just and civilized Indonesia,” he concluded.
