UNAIR NEWS聽–聽Misutarno has idolized Dean of Faculty of Nursing Prof.聽Nursalam, S.Kp., M.Nurs as an inspiring figure in realizing his ideals.聽According to him, Prof.聽Nursalam has motivated him continuously to excel.
“He really inspires me.聽Being busy did not stop Prof.聽Nursalam to make achievements.聽It is my motivation to excel continuously, “said the nurse of RSUD Dr.聽Soetomo.
As a proof, in 2014, Misutarno was named as the best HIV / AIDS counselor at national level.聽Therefore, the man born in Sidoarjo was appointed聽as HIV / AIDS master of trainer聽.
He also studied about diseases caused by a virus attacking the immune system in his thesis.聽His thesis entitled “Management of HIV / AIDS Patient Care to Indonesian Workers through聽peer聽groups support聽on Psychological Response to Immunity in Tulungagung District” has made him named as the best master graduate.
This research was inspired by the number of migrant workers who returned to Indonesia with HIV / AIDS.聽Misutarno tries to help the patient getting out of the stigma of discrimination experienced by the patients.聽In addition, he also wanted to support government programs such as聽Zero聽New聽HIV Infection,聽and聽Zero Death Related聽to HIV / AIDS聽.
Misutarno said that the role of the family is significant in determining success.聽“I have a habit to study from 9 to 12 pm and my family understand well.聽They really understand that, “said the Secretary of Regional Union Council of National Nurse Association in East Java.
He has a principle to always be disciplined in doing something.聽This discipline that matters most in determining the lives of people in the future.聽“In addition to discipline, be patient and open in accepting criticism from others,” he concluded.聽(*)
