UNAIR NEWS 鈥撀Alumni Association of Faculty of Pharmacy (IKA FF) 东京热 or known better as Pharmacy Airlangga Alumni Surabaya (ALFAS), held a reunion in Semarang, Central Java. The reunion held on Saturday night, March 11, there were about two hundreds alumni from the first batch in 1963 to the alumni of class 2002. The event held in Salt Resto Semarang was moderated by Drs. Suharno, Apt., as the General Secretary of IKA-FF UNAIR.
鈥淪o ALFAS is indeed our name for our faculty鈥檚 IKA so it鈥檚 unique and different from other,鈥 said Suharno before the event.
Suharno, an alumnus from 1978, explained that the reunion is not merely an occasion to gather and strengthen ties. More than that, the former director of PT. Kimia Farma said that he wanted to encourage all alumni attending to suggest ideas which can be useful for all, especially in pharmaceutical industry.
鈥淚n this event, I introduce a consulting body in Phharmacy named Global ALFAS Solusindo,鈥 he said.
In response to Suharno鈥檚 statement, Executive Head of IKA-FF聽聽Dr. Retna Sari, M.Sc., Apt., said that this event was expected to improve the solidity of ALFAS. Even there were lots of officials missing the event due to graduation day, it was not a problem for her.
In his address, Retna emphasizes that the roles of alumni are important to improve the alma mater.
鈥淲e need ideas for faculty development. Next year is 55 years old of pharmacy education in UNAIR. It means we are in the 11th lustrum. Let鈥檚 together welcome the next lustrum with excellent ideas for our alma mater,鈥 explained Retna.
Beside opened with free session and addresses, there were also performances from the representatives of each batch. From singing, taking pictures to choral dances.
There was a presentation of the rotating trophy for the class which perform the best creativity and it was won by 1984 Alumni. Then it was closed with a presentation from Bagus Dwi Prasetiyo, S.Psi., as the Vice Rector IV staff. He introduced the new alumni website and presented how to fill the database.
“I hope the alumni attending here can fill the alumni database on http://alumni.unair.ac.id/site/menu/show/166/database-alumni.html ,” he explained.(*)
