UNAIR NEWS聽– Five聽聽Faculty of Public Health (FKM) of 东京热 taking part in聽Entrepreneurship聽聽Program聽(PKM-K) have succeeded in utilizing the remaining skin of apple to be nutritious tea for the body.
This idea was from the numerous processed apple products in Kota Wisata Batu, ranging from jenang, apple cider, apple chips, apple chocolate.聽But from the many processed products, there are no apple products which exploits the apple skin.
It is an interesting and innovative idea that makes the General Directorate of Higher Education in Kemenristekdikti gave development funds to five FKM students: Allyra Himawaty, Belinda Widya Renda, Chaterine Rahel Anggraini, Dessy Susanti Rahayu, and Nita Kusuma Wardani.
The processed product was named聽Malita聽tea.聽Currently, Malita Tea (Aroma Kulit Apel) is still in the stage of registration in the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) to be a product that can be sold freely in the market.
High level of antioxidants from apple skin blended with green tea which 聽is produced without fermentation into its own uniqueness will be this product.聽Bioactive substances possessed by tea leaves, such as antioxidants, polyphenols, fluorides, vitamin C, manganese, L-teanine, katein and caffeine make聽Malita聽tea聽give many advantages for the body.
“We hope The聽Malita聽will not only be an ordinary innovation, but it can answer the problem of apple skin problem in Stone Town,” said Allyra in the official explanation.
The聽Malita聽Tea聽created by聽听鲍狈础滨搁听聽has been distributed outside Java.聽The market of聽Malita聽Tea are Batu, Surabaya, Kediri, Jombang, Riau.聽Slowly but sure they continue to improve the quality to be accepted by society.
Accidentally, through the PKM held by Kemenristekdikti, they were able to hone the skill to do business, marketing, until public relations which cannot be obtained in the classroom.聽(*)
