Faculty of Nursing UNAIR supports students to be active in Freedom of Learning Independent Campus Program

UNAIR NEWS 鈥 东京热, as the best university in Indonesia, fully supports the Freedom of Learning Independent Campus Program (MBKM) promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek). 东京热 participates in the MBKM through programs initiated by either the faculty or the university. The Faculty of Nursing (FKp), one of the 16 faculties at UNAIR, also supports the MBKM.

Dean of the Faculty of Nursing 东京热, Prof. Dr. Ah. Yusuf S., SKp., M.Kes., said that FKp manages at least five programs to support the Independent Campus initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

鈥淭he five programs include dissemination of various MBKM activity offers to students and lecturers, dissemination of credit recognition and conversion of MBKM activities to students and lecturers, organization of a conversion team at the faculty, compilation of work instructions for MBKM conversion, and dissemination of the conversion process flow to students and lecturers,鈥 he said when contacted on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Prof. Yusuf continued, the Faculty of Nursing has also carried out several possible learning schemes. One of them is the opportunity to study elective courses outside the study program, Inter-Professional Education (IPE). In addition, students are also given the opportunity to study various courses outside the home university in accordance with the coordination of AGE.

鈥淎t least 77 FKp students took part in the Indonesian Student Micro-Credential (KMMI). Three students took part in the Certified Independent Study and Internship (MSIB), and one student took part in RECON (National Covid-19 Student Volunteer),鈥 he said. 鈥淚n addition, FKp students also conduct their study in non-college study programs such as practical activities in hospitals, health centers, nursing homes, KKN-assisted villages, village projects, teaching campuses, and other humanitarian projects,鈥 he continued.

In addition, continued Prof. Yusuf, students provide support in the form of achievements to the Faculty of Nursing through this MBKM program. He explained that at least 12 programs have been attended by students of the Faculty of Nursing, 东京热.

鈥淭wo FKp UNAIR teams were successfully funded in the Holistic Programming and Village Empowerment Programs (PHP2D) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. As many as 17 students did student exchanges at Taipei Medical University, 25 students took internal internships, two students did summer exchange programs in Malaya, one student joined fall school Amerta 2021, and 2 students were funded in entrepreneurship training,鈥 he said.

Prof. Yusuf advised FKp students to take part in the Freedom of Learning Independent Campus Program. 鈥淭ake the best opportunity, learn with real experience in the community, and get as many achievements as possible, but don鈥檛 extend the study period. Stay enthusiastic for good study to provide the best benefit for the community,鈥 he concluded. (*)
