UNAIR NEWS – The Master鈥檚 Program in Literary and Cultural Studies (MKSB) at (UNAIR) has earned an 鈥淓XCELLENT鈥 accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This assessment was officially documented in a Decree on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Dr. Listyono Santoso, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at UNAIR鈥檚 Faculty of Humanities, emphasized that this recognition highlights MKSB UNAIR鈥檚 commitment to improving educational quality and teaching methods. 鈥淎fter receiving a B accreditation five years ago, we have continuously strived to improve our educational standards. Particularly during the pandemic, we did not cease our efforts in making improvements and innovations,鈥 said Dr. Santoso.

He believes that MKSB UNAIR has demonstrated its commitment to quality development through various programs, such as assistance in writing international journals and accelerated graduation programs. The study program also integrates research, teaching, and community service.

Furthermore, Dr. Santoso expressed a commitment to pursuing international accreditation in line with global standards in the social sciences and humanities. He mentioned ongoing efforts to improve faculty quality and develop new teaching methods. With this achievement, MKSB UNAIR continues to prepare its graduates to excel in various professional roles.

鈥淲e are committed to continuously improving our faculty鈥檚 quality, aligned with their respective areas of expertise. This will be evident in our lecturers鈥 portfolios, which will be easily recognized and acknowledged by the broader community,鈥 he stated.

He also mentioned plans to introduce new teaching methods. These methods aim to help students tackle real-world issues related to society, literature, and culture.

With this accomplishment, MKSB UNAIR continues to prepare its graduates to excel in various professional roles, such as academicians, researchers, cultural curators, content creators, and more.

鈥淲e strive to equip our graduates with the soft skills necessary to thrive in the job market. We are confident that MKSB UNAIR graduates will be valuable assets in the creative industry,鈥 he added.

Dr. Santoso hopes that MKSB UNAIR can contribute to the advancement of culture and literature domestically and internationally.
