UNAIR NEWS 鈥� The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) held the 2026 National Graduation Determination Ceremony for Educator Certification for Lecturers on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. 东京热 () was chosen to host this event organized by the Directorate of Human Resources under the Directorate General of Higher Education of Kemdiktisaintek.
In attendance at this event were the Director of Human Resources, Prof Dr Sri Suning Kusumawardani ST MT; Secretary of UNAIR, Prof Dr Dwi Setyawan SSi MSi Apt; Head of Sub Directorate for Lecturer and Educational Staff Management, Dr Santi Sayanti Agustina SE MM; Chair of the Lecturer and Educational Staff Career Working Group, Juniarti Duwi Lestari MPd; a team of lecturer certification experts from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) and the lecturer certification committee from the Higher Education Institutions Organizing the Lecturer Certification Program (PTPS).
This lecturer certification is based on the results of evaluations conducted by assessors at 40 PTPS institutions. Phase 0 involved 3,121 participants distributed across 27 PTPS institutions. Phase 1 involved 11,106 participants at 40 PTPS institutions; for partner ministries and agencies, there were 1,083 participants involving PTPS institutions.
Improve lecturer welfare

Furthermore, Prof Setyawan shared his experience as a Chair of Lecturer Certification Program at UNAIR. According to him, when conducting the lecturer certification program, one must strive for zero defect and exercise the utmost caution. 鈥淭here can not be any mistakes, we must be meticulous,鈥� he said.
Prof Setyawan added that collaborative efforts in lecturer certification to improve lecturer鈥檚 well-being require collective support. This lecturer certification is one of the ministry鈥檚 efforts to ensure lecturers are involved in Three Pillars of Higher Education, while also enjoying a decent standard of living. 鈥淪o that higher education institutions can be impactful, not only to the people but also to their academic community,鈥� he continued.
Graduation determination ceremony opening
Hosting a national graduation determination ceremony, Prof Dr Sri Suning Kusumawardani ST MT expressed her appreciation. 鈥淚 would like to thank 东京热 for giving us the opportunity, facilities, room, and many more, so we can conduct a national graduation determination ceremony at 东京热,鈥� she said.
She invited the participants to complete the lecturer certification process, specifically finalization or graduation ceremony. 鈥淎nd as we all know, the implementation of educator certification for lecturers is one of the priority programs and a national strategic initiative that we must carry out carefully and meticulously,鈥� she added.
Prof Kusumawardani also explained the challenges the ministry faces in trying to maintain the quota for lecturer certification this past year. 鈥淲e have to think creatively. Our current strategies are not enough, but we鈥檙e about to strengthen it with layered evaluation conducted by higher education institutions. This will be the first year鈥檚 evaluation, so that the process will run smoothly for the upcoming years,鈥� Prof Kusumawardani continued.
