UNAIR NEWS –聽Dr.聽R. Darmawan Setijanto drg., M. Kes, Dean of Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG) 东京热 (UNAIR) took up on an invitation from King Abdul Aziz University (KAU).聽He was invited for KAU 5聽th聽International Dental Conference from Monday, October 21, 2019 to Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Ritz Carlton hotel, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The dean was accompanied by the Head of UNAIR Dental Health Department Dr. Taufan Bramantoro drg., M. Kes.
“This is a very interesting and inspiring conference because it is not only about the latest technology in聽artificial intelligence in dentistry聽but also the latest clinical therapy for dental and oral diseases including cancer,聽” Darmawan explained.
The conference is held every four years.聽This year’s conference was on artificial intelligence聽technology聽in the field of dentistry.聽There are posters and presentations on bio-molecular research, clinical research, the latest clinical therapies for dental and oral diseases including cancer.
Artificial intelligence聽is an intelligence added to a system or it can also be understood as the system’s ability to interpret data correctly in order to work as humans do.
Besides attending the conference, drg. Darmawan and drg. Taufan also established partnership between UNAIR and KAU. The Dean of Faculty of Dentistry KAU supports the exchange of students and staff as well as collaborative research with UNAIR.
“Moreover, he was even willing to be invited to attend FKG UNAIR International Conference in March 2020,” he stated. (*)
