UNAIR NEWS – Quality to be an entrepreneur should be developed early on. That was what based AcSES (Association of Sharia Economics Studies), an organization in Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) to hold a business seminar “Bright Your Future Become Moeslem Entrepreneur”, on Saturday, May 21. Held in Fadjar Hall FEB UNAIR, it was attended by a lecturer and a businessman, Dr. Muhamad Nafik Hadi Ryandono, SE., M.Si, the owner of Jatinom, Indah  Hidayatur Rahman, and owner of Falle Corporation, Andy Suryansyah, S.ST.

Islamic Economy lecturer UNAIR, Muhamad Nafik Hadi Ryandono, SE., M.Si, explained that the role model for moslems to run a business is of course the Prophet Muhammad SAW who always hold the concept of honesty and professionalism. Besides, businessman was a profession our Prophet had  since he was young, and the world knew him well for his expertise and honesty in doing business.

“Doing business was done by the Prophet Muhammad SAW . Since he was only 6 years old, Rasulullah has tended his uncles’ goats and they shared the profit from them. When he was 18 years old, he was already a conglomerate,” he said.

In addition to Nafik’s statement, the owner  of Jatinom Hidayatur Rahman explained that in doing business, first thing you need to do is a good intention of worshipping Allah SWT through the business. It will bring more benefits, if we fail with it we will not be disappointed or even in despair, if we succeed, then gratitude will follow.

“Before we start our business, we should only have intention to worship Allah , so that our businesses will always be under His protection,” he said.

The owner of Jatinom, known as Dayat, also said that the most important thing to start a business is the market. He emphasized that knowing the market will make the businessman easier to know what product needed and wanted by the people, so the product will be easily sold.

“Don’t start a business and produce products without surveying the market, that’s what based the products sold well,” he said.

Completing the two speakers’ presentations Andy Suryansyah, S.ST as the owner of Falle Corporation, explained that obstacles faced by students to start business usually the capital power. But, it could be solved by joining any competitions such as Business Plan or PKM managed by Dikti.

“Typical problem had by students who started a business is always about the capital. It is quite easy , as we are eduated students. Just follow a business plan or PKM program held by Dikti. The reward can be the fund to start the business,” he said. (*)
