UNAIR NEWS – Rector of 东京热 inaugurated new postgraduate students in 2016/2017 academic year at Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office, 东京热, Thursday (23/2).聽 The new students were students from Doctoral degree, Master degree, Specialist and profession program.
There were 586 students inaugurated, consisting 391 master degree students, 3 doctoral degree students, 167 specialist students and 18 sub specialist students.
In the inauguration ceremony, Rector UNAIR Prof. Nasih said that the inaugurated students were the best students who have passed some admission selection. He hoped that the students can study as best as they can, dedicate themselves to society, and solve the problems in the society.
鈥淔or example, the number of doctors and specialist in Indonesia is still limited. You are the selected few as you have passed the selection test. Therefore, be the students who can contribute for the country,鈥 Prof. Nasih said.
He also said to the new students to uphold the excellence as the motto of UNAIR. 鈥淯NAIR has value that must be supported and maintained together, even after college. It is Excellence with Morality,鈥 he said.
In the occasion, the Indonesian Minister of Mineral and Resources, Ignasius Jonan was also attending. He delivered a speech entitled 鈥淗igher Education鈥檚 Role for National Leadership鈥.
The alumnus of Accounting bachelor program, Faculty of Economics and Business UNAIR motivated students to pursue education not only for the prestige.
鈥淚f you pursue higher education only for promotions or acknowledgment from others, it鈥檚 better if you don鈥檛 go for it at all. Always dream to use your knowledge for the sake of society,鈥 Jonan said.
