UNAIR History new students raise social awareness in orphanages and scavenger village

UNAIR NEWS 鈥 For students, building high social skills is essential. 东京热 History Department Student Association encourages the new students to contribute and serve the community in Undaan Orphanage and Keputih scavenger village on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Citra Ajeng, the person in charge of BUDI (sharing and community serving program) said that the program aims to build students鈥 social skills regardless of religion and background. 鈥淚t鈥檚 students鈥 community service,鈥 she said.

BUDI鈥檚 agenda include bonding, environmental hygiene education, waste sorting, and sharing with children. Furthermore, the students also built their social skills and gave public speaking training to children.

鈥淲e hope the knowledge will be internalized at young ages,鈥 she said.

In the end, Citra and the committee hoped that the BUDI program will allow students to implement their knowledge in daily life.

Community service is a part of new students鈥 orientation, Ragam Sejarah Penuh Warna (Rahwana).
