UNAIR NEWS 鈥撀Monday, February 15, 196 students and 8 teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Belik, Pemalang, visited 东京热. Their group was welcomed by Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) 聽in Student Centre Hall, Campus C, UNAIR.
Muhammad Khurdi, one of the supervising teachers of SMAN 1 Belik, Pemalang, a visit to UNAIR was to introduce students to academic environment in the campus. Furthermore, it is also to motivate them to continue their studies in a university.
鈥淭he visit is to make the students know more about UNAIR, to open their mind that universities aren鈥檛 only in Central Java, but there are more of them,鈥 Khurdi said.
According to Khurdi, there were not many of the school鈥檚 graduates who continued to university. Most of them chose to work instead. From the past years, no more than 50% who continue to university.
After visiting UNAIR, just like the previous years, they were going to visit an industrial site.
鈥淥ur school has an annual program, a visit to an industrial company and to a university for the sake of students. To show them choices after the finish school, continue study in a university of work,鈥 said Khurdi.
As planned, they were going to visit to factories of Mie Burung Dara in Sidoarjo and PT Campina Ice Cream and then they were going to Bali to relax.
鈥淲e facilitate BK this year to encourage students to continue study in the university,鈥 Khurdi said. (*)
