UNAIR NEWS聽– The visit of Management & Science University’s President, with his entourage to Indonesia arrived in Surabaya on Monday, December 11.聽In one of the restaurants in Surabaya, the MSU Malaysia group was welcomed by Rector of UNAIR and the other officials such as Vice Rectors, vice deans and leaderships in Management environment.
UNAIR Rector Prof.聽Dr.聽H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak, CMA., in his speech shortly before dinner stated that the relationship between MSU and UNAIR in academic and research collaboration has been established long.聽Prof.聽Nasih also added that as nations that have same mission, collaboration between universities should be conducted continuously.
“We are from the same region, we should establish any collaborations we can do,” said Prof.聽Nasih.
Furthermore, Prof.聽Nasih mentioned about the visit of UNAIR staffs who did internship program at MSU.聽For him, the activity was a form of UNAIR’s commitment to continuously learn and improve quality from various universities in the world.
“Although MSU is still young, it has been extraordinary.聽We need to learn from them and vice versa, ” he explained.
Responding to Prof. Nasih鈥檚 statement, President of MSU Malaysia Prof.聽Tan Sri Shukri stated that his trip will continue to Jember, he always maximizes his spare time well.聽One of them is by meeting colleagues at UNAIR.
“I can learn a lot from UNAIR.聽Hopefully this meeting will bring the best future for all of us, ” he said.
As nations with similar culture, he hoped that in the era of globalization like today both UNAIR and MSU share determination and target.聽If not, he added, it is not impossible that the potential as universities will bring setbacks.
“We are a great nation.聽If we work alone we will not succeed.聽So we must unite.聽Working together will bring success, ” he said.聽(*)
