UNAIR NEWS聽聽– To optimize the role of lecturers in KKN-BBM,聽 of Community Service聽held a meeting with supervising lecturers and partners.聽There was also representative of Surabaya Trade Agency in a meeting held at LPM Hall on Tuesday, June 5.
Regarding the activity, the HEad of聽聽Prof.聽Dr.聽H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs.,聽., said that the role of lecturers in KKN-BBM activities were very strategic.聽Besides as being the guides, he added, lecturers are expected to participate to contribute ideas for successful activities.
“The role of lecturers in this KKN-BBM should be optimized, considering the number of new programs that will be done on KKN-BBM this time, “he explained.
In Surabaya, he said, the KKN-BBM also collaborate with the Trade Agency.聽According to him, it was a request by the government to participate in coaching the practitioners of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Surabaya.
“Therefore we invited the Trade Agency to provide direction to the lecturers who will supervise,” added Prof.聽Jusuf.
The importance of providing the right direction for the lecturers, according to him, became the main thing for the implementation of KKN-BBM.聽For him, with the ideas and innovations of faculty members, the students can also be more focused in doing community service.
“If the information given by the lecturers is wrong, the student will also make mistakes, so will the community.聽This is聽dangerous.聽Hence this briefing is needed, “he said.
Prof.聽Jusuf added that 1050 students will be deployed to 15 districts in Surabaya.聽Students will be divided into several groups of UMKM in Surabaya.
“This is the true form of our devotion to the city of Surabaya,” he concluded.
