UNAIR NEWS 鈥 (UNAIR) Satu Data conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Sriwijaya Hall, 5th floor of the ASEEC Tower, Dharmawangsa Campus 鈥 B UNAIR. The FGD aimed to follow up on ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of information services provided by Satu Data.
Satu Data鈥檚 information services address the diverse needs of UNAIR鈥檚 academic community. Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak, noted that achieving high rankings is not the primary objective of Satu Data鈥檚 work.
Prof. Nasih likened rankings to the results of a 鈥榤edical check-up鈥, emphasizing that Satu Data鈥檚 primary role is collecting, managing, and analyzing data to support efficient decision-making.
According to Prof. Nasih, rankings serve as valuable benchmarks for identifying areas of improvement and refining future programs. 鈥淲e should view rankings as our medical check-up. Of course, perspectives may vary between individuals or institutions, but the general idea is the same. Through these rankings, we can identify weaknesses, which is immensely beneficial for planning future programs,鈥 he stated.
Key aspects of Satu Data
Dr. Unggul Heriqbaldi, S.E., M.Si., M.App.Ec., Head of UNAIR Satu Data, explained that the initiative serves as UNAIR鈥檚 central information provider. He shared that Satu Data maintains a live dashboard featuring the university鈥檚 latest data.
Heriqbaldi clarified that the data on the dashboard is sourced directly through automated systems. Satu Data鈥檚 task is to organize the data based on specific indicators. 鈥淭he data is grouped according to needs and visualized using an automated system, ensuring that what is displayed on the dashboard is unaltered and accurate,鈥 he said.
The event also included two case study sessions addressing internationalization and human resource management. Faculty representatives presented their findings to university leadership, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and strategies for implementation in 2025.
