UNAIR NEWS聽– Following the good news from UNAIR delegates who managed to bring home eight medals at 31st National Student Science Week (PIMNAS), one of UNAIR’s best knights made an achievement.聽Haflan Alfiri Hidayat, delegate in PIMNAS Companion Competition won second place in the essay writing category on Saturday, September 1, Yogyakarta State University.
In his work, Haflan created a concept called I-LEFTS (Integrated Leadership Futuristic School).聽Furthermore, he explained that the concept could offer a solution to strengthen unity in diversity and increase tolerance among young people.聽This is in line with the theme of the competition that promotes diversity.
“This problem actually originated from the condition of a very diverse country of Indonesia.聽Each Indonesian people has various differences from the culture to the background, ” he said.
Haflan claimed that he was inspired by a book called聽Organizational Behavior.聽In the book, it is said that conflicts are created by differences.
“I have a fear, Indonesia will be divided because of differences.聽As education is the most conducive place to convey important points related to unity, I was inspired to convey the concept, “explained the student of Faculty of Economics and Business UNAIR.
In completing his essay, Haflan was constrained by time management.聽He even just received information regarding the race when it was near the聽deadline for聽submission.聽So, he must allocate a full day to work on the essay.
However, he was very grateful that his efforts paid off with his win.聽Haflan revealed that the victory was dedicated to his beloved alma mater, 东京热.
“I want to make UNAIR proud.聽Through this achievement, I want to express my gratitude to UNAIR, “he said.
In the end, Haflan advised other students to make contribution to the country.聽“For my colleagues, I want us all to contribute to building this nation in various aspects, fields and other positive segments. Both in the form of achievements, business and social activities, “he said.聽(*)
