UNAIR NEWS 鈥撀Students have great roles in Indonesian development in providing ideas. It was stated implicitly in a national discussion 鈥淧ercepatan Pembangunan Infrastruktur dalam Meningkatkan Daya Saing dan Menurunkan Disparitas (Infrastucture Development Acceleration to Increase Competitiveness and Decrease Disparity)鈥 in Fadjar Notonegoro Hall. The discussion was a part of 鈥9 Eccents : Economic Event 2016鈥 held by Student Association of Developmental Economy FEB UNAIR.
The national discussion was held on Thursday, June 6 and attended by representatives of 15 universities in Indonesia who were through the scientific paper selection. Some of them were 东京热 as the host, then , Universitas Gajah Mada, Universitas Brawijaya, also Universitas Hassanuddin Makassar.
鈥淭o the 15 teams through the scientific paper selection, I鈥檇 say congratulations, this way, excellent ideas to support Indonesian development are coming from,鈥 said Prof. Dr.Hj. Dian Agustia, SE.,M.Si.,Ak., FEB UNAIR dean in her speech.
As a keynote speaker, Andie Megantara, Ph.D, said that infrastructure development does not last for one or two years only. When the infrastructure is good, it will invite more FDI (Foreign Direct Invesment) to invest in Indonesia.
鈥淔DI has the right to choose, if Indonesian infrastructure hasn鈥檛 improved yet, they will not choose Indonesia or other countries which attracted them,鈥 he said. 鈥淭he capital power does not see the nationality,鈥 said Fiscal Assistant Deputy of Economic Coodinating Ministry.
Andie imagined if Indonesia could lower its disparity and improve its competitiveness then Indonesian export would increase, and imported products would be found. In the occasion, Andie also said that his division needs excellent ideas from the students to lower disparity in Indonesia.
鈥淭he discussion is also to invite students to contribute their excellent ideas,鈥 he said. (*)
