Goodbye Prof. Moetmainah Prajitno, Pioneer of Dental Conservation FKG UNAIR

UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) 东京热 mourned for the loss of one of its best scholars,聽Prof.聽Dr.聽Moetmainah Prajitno, drg., Sp.KG (K). She passed away before dawn on Friday, July 28 at the age of 84 years old.聽The women born in Gresik November 6, 1933 was known as one of the pioneers in the field of dental conservation in FKG UNAIR.聽This 1959 FKG UNAIR graduate died after 106 days in hospital.

Dean of FKG UNAIR Dr.聽R. Darmawan Setijanto, drg., M.Kes., felt a great loss and admiration to her relentless spirit to study.聽She was able to complete her Doctorate (S-3) when she was quite aged with a relatively short time in 1990.

“Rest in Peace, Prof.聽Moetmainah, your services in promoting faculty will be remembered, “said Dr.聽Darmawan Setijanto, in the memorial servicxe, in the FKG Hall, Friday afternoon.

Hundreds of UNAIR academics attended to pay respects to the late聽Prof.聽Moetmainah.聽There were Vice Rector I Prof.聽Djoko Santoso, dr., Sp.PD-KGH., PhD., FINASIM, Chairman of the Academic Senate UNAIR Prof.聽Dr.聽Muhammad Amin, dr, Sp.P (K), FKG Professors, FKs and other faculties, education staff, students and alumni.

Vice Rector I UNAIR Prof.聽Djoko Santoso in his speech on behalf of the university also stated that UNAIR has lost an active lecturer with great dedication.聽So as tribute to the deceased, he continued, there is no other way but to continue and develop what has been pioneered by the deceased in the field of dental conservation FKG UNAIR.

“The way to show our love to her, and to admire her is to continue her ideals, where in every step of hers was to implement Tridarma Higher Education,” said Prof.聽Djoko Santoso, Professor of Faculty of Medicine of UNAIR.

Representing the family, drg.聽Meifiyanto, the second son of the late professor, expressed his gratitude for her care when she was sick, until the funeral held in Mojokerto.聽The staff of education in UNAIR DSI also apologized for Prof.聽Moetmainah if during her life she made mistakes to the academic community.

Ir.聽Ina Juniarti, the first daughter of four siblings, said that she was a great mother, an independent woman.聽In every activity, Prof.聽Moetmainah, never bothered her children.聽She always reviews hundreds of pages on her own.聽She asked the family not to cry for her when she passed away.

Four days before her illness, she had time to appoint where she wanted to rest next to the late Prof.聽HR Prajitno, her husband.聽When she was sick and hospitalized, she had time to manage the house provision;聽Shopping for families, even managing the expired STNK.
