鲍狈础滨搁听狈贰奥厂听鈥聽A businessman is expected to build up a business and realize economic independent. The expectation of course started with a step from a student to be a young entrepreneur. In聽 order to stimulate entrepreneurship among students of 东京热 (UNAIR), Business Division of Scientific Department BEM FEB held 聽Business Competition and Achievement聽on Saturday, June 4. This event facilitate students to develop their spirit on entrepreneurship through Business Plan Competition and Seminar.
In the competition, the committee had selected best 15 which later presented their ideas to the judges on June 1, in Fadjar Notonegoro Hall. The competition was followed by participants from FEB UNAIR or other faculties. The business plans presented were various, from culinary to travelling business.
The event was then followed with the awarding session for the Business Competition and Achievement聽through business seminar “How to Start Business from Zero” in ABC Hall inviting two speakers and attended by many participants from many faculties.
In the seminar, Alfan Cipto Wahyudin, ST as the first speaker said that it is necessary to stimulate entrepreneurship among students at early stage as a service on creating employment. CEO of PT Asuka Engineering Indonesia who is also the President of Indonesia Hypnotheraphy Center shared his story when he had to resign from a Japanese company, to start his own business from zero, with only determination to create employment for others and without any other capital resources.
“Don鈥檛 ever be afraid to be businessmen, as being one is noble,鈥 said Alfan who is also the owner of PT Asuka Rental Indonesia, PT Asuka Kinetik Indonesia, and PT Asuka Agro Indonesia.
While the second speaker, Lussi Agustin, S.STAT, who is CEO of INDORAJ聽Consulting聽and HIPMI Surabaya campus coordinator shared her stories in starting her business on statistic consulting service which was started for her final exam. It was from her wish to live independently and to prove an opinion that going to college only to be employees was wrong.
“Don鈥檛 waste your chance, stay honest, focused, and diligent to start your business,鈥 said the alumnus of Statistics of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) 东京热 (UNAIR).
The event was closed by the announcement of the winning teams for Business plan competition. They were 鈥淣asgor Salto鈥 from FEB, 鈥淰it Cuit鈥 from FKH in the second place, and the third place was 鈥淏ebek Racing鈥 from Faculty of Vocations (FV). (*)
