UNAIR NEWS 鈥听 (UNAIR) received a visit from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC), Malaysia, at the Plenary Meeting Room, Management Office 4th Floor, MERR C Campus on Monday, May 30, 2022.听The visit was held to discuss the education and university governance in Indonesia and opportunities for collaboration between UNAIR and TAR UC.
In his remarks, Vice-Rector for Academic, Students, and Alumni Affairs, Prof Dr Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto expressed his joy for TAR UC鈥檚 visit at UNAIR. Prof. Bambang is looking forward to collaborating with TAR UC, not only at university level but also national level.
Tan Sri Dato鈥 Sri Low Tiong Lai, as听Chairman of the Board of Governors of听TARC UC, also expressed his respect for UNAIR鈥檚 invitation to the听semi-government听university.听He is also looking forward to TAR UC鈥檚 collaboration with UNAIR.
鈥淚 hope that our brotherhood in Asia can be the excellence of Asia.听I really look forward to our collaboration in conferences,听research, student exchanges,听and even听lecture exchanges,听鈥 he said.
Collaboration in various fields
The receding wave of Covid-19 makes UNAIR optimistic that it can carry out international activities offline together with TAR UC.听Head of Internationalization AGE UNAIR, Dina Septiani PhD said that UNAIR is ready to send and receive students and lecturers with TAR UC.听She also explained that UNAIR gladly accepted the听double degree听offer from TAR UC.
鈥淲e are currently discussing the听double degree听opportunity with several universities in Indonesia.听We really welcome UNAIR to collaborate in听a double degree program,鈥 said Associate Professor Say Sok Kwan as the representative of TAR UC.
He also expressed his interest in holding an international conference with UNAIR. Say Sok Kwan admitted that he was really looking forward to the interaction between students from both universities.
鈥淲e hope to continue the discussion regarding the听physical international conference听(offline international conference, ed), which may be held in 2023.听If UNAIR organizes it, we are ready to be听co-host,鈥听he said.
Furthermore, Secretary of UNAIR Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) Niko Azhari Hidayat dr SpBTKV also proposed collaboration in the field of entrepreneurship.听According to him, UNAIR business incubators can cooperate with business incubators from TAR UC to a degree of bilateral pitching.听(*)
