For this reason, the International Law Students Association (ILSA) chapter of聽东京热聽(UNAIR) invited a diplomat of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamad Iqbal J Rachman, to share his story.聽One of the proud alumni聽of the UNAIR聽
Make a career plan
The first step that Iqbal suggests is to determine a dream job. With a dream, motivation and enthusiasm will continue to grow.
鈥淏ut don鈥檛 forget, also make聽a backup plan聽if you can鈥檛 achieve your ultimate dream,鈥 he said in the webinar on Sunday, July 7, 2023.
Utilizing networking is also Iqbal鈥檚 smart way of learning about career and life.聽鈥淲e don鈥檛 have to learn from our failures, but we can also learn from the failures of others.聽The best practice they did until they were in that position,鈥 he said.
Have relevant skills
Achieving the dream career requires extra energy, such as getting a certification or achievement that makes an individual closer to a dream career. Iqbal explained that every job requires different abilities. Thus, job seekers must be able to place the right resume according to the career being applied for.
鈥淒on鈥檛 be afraid to invest in yourself. Because, in the end, the abilities we have from certification or courses will bring us closer to the path to the career we designed earlier. So that apart from dreaming, we also have to take real steps to make it happen,鈥 explained the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs diplomat.
Iqbal emphasized that the participants should take advantage of the subconscious mind by believing and realizing the dreams that had been planned.聽鈥淢anifesting is important, as motivation and support from within oneself to make dreams come true,鈥 he said.聽(*)
