UNAIR NEWS 鈥聽东京热 (UNAIR) started 2023 with extraordinary achievements.聽Not even one week into the new year, several achievements have been made by UNAIR, as some scientific journals have been indexed internationally.
The Indonesian Journal of Health Administration from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UNAIR is indexed by聽Scopus.聽So currently, UNAIR has 6 scientific journals indexed by聽Scopus.聽Furthermore, 89 scientific journals of UNAIR are also indexed by EBSCO Essentials.
Head of Institute for Innovation, Journal Development, Publishing and Intellectual Property Rights (LIPJPHKI) UNAIR, Prof. Hery Purnobasuki MSi PhD expressed his gratitude for the achievements.
鈥淎lways be grateful,聽Alhamdulillah,聽 there are more positive achievements, especially for scientific journals managed by UNAIR, which are indexed internationally,鈥 he said.
EBSCO Essentials indexing
EBSCO Essentials is an international indexing where scientific journals will be managed and published worldwide.聽鈥淪cientific journals that have been indexed by EBSCO Essentials will gain more recognition.聽For example, someone who wants to find a scientific journal of UNAIR can go through the EBSCO Essentials network to see the聽full paper,鈥 said Prof. Hery.
鈥淚f many people can access scientific journals, the potential to be read and cited is greater. It is our way to improve the quality of scientific journals to a higher level, provided that scientific journals are widely read or cited by people,鈥 he added.
In addition, internationally indexed scientific journals will improve networking for both authors and universities. So that cooperation in terms of research and publications can be carried out.
鈥淚f scientific journals are authored only by UNAIR academics, it has the local quality and will not reach the highest level. If many people have been exposed to the fact that UNAIR has good quality, the scientific journal authors will not be from UNAIR only, but they can collaborate with researchers from other countries to make good scientific journals,鈥 he said.
It doesn鈥檛 stop there; various processes are currently being carried out to increase the number of internationally-indexed scientific journals. 鈥淥ther scientific journals are currently being prepared to obtain international indexing.
