UNAIR NEWS聽鈥 The 2023 Sustainable Energy and Green Technology Integrations (SEGTA) is one of the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM) contributions.聽This activity collaborates with the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD).
The event from Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 聽to Sunday, September 10, 2023, introduced research products from聽.聽Communities in several areas such as Gili Iyang, Bintan, and Banyuwangi, utilize the product.聽Some of its products are an electric bicycle and a weather station applied to Gili Iyang Madura.
Introducing research products聽
Prof. Dr. Retna Apsari MSi, as Vice Dean III FTMM emphasized that the 2023 SEGTA has attracted 41 students from 13 countries and two continents. Furthermore, she introduced the potential of renewable energy and green technology to international students.
鈥淥ur country has great potential in green energy and technology. This is the first step in our contribution to resolving the problematic energy crisis,鈥 she emphasized.
According to Retna, the 2023 SEGTA may lead to collaborations in research, academic affairs, or joint innovation in developing cutting-edge products.
鈥淕ili Iyang is a village supported by FTMM. There is a solar panel-based weather station technology installation there,鈥 she explained.

In this case, FTMM aims to bring participants to know the local society and its culture through direct interaction. 鈥淚deally, there won鈥檛 be just lectures in class, but also a visit to the field. The visit to society will give the insights and there is also an introduction to Madura鈥檚 culture,鈥 she added.
They will be invited to see it firsthand, and FTMM will demonstrate directly to participants the distribution of electric bicycles, which are currently being used by coastal residents of Gili Iyang Island, Madura, in the next activity.
All of these activities are FTMM鈥檚 first steps in proving its quality on the national and global stage because FTMM is still very young. However, it has a lot of to offer and is ready to make extraordinary contributions to the nation.
