Faculty of Law delegation represents Indonesia at 2026 Jessup International Moot Court Competition

UNAIR NEWS 鈥 A team from the Faculty of Law (FH) 东京热 represented Indonesia and the university at the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, held on April 28, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The delegation consisted of Putri Ayu Musthikaweni Adhijoso (2023), Tiffany Eleonora Juanda (2023), Anak Agung Gede Fabianara Danurwenda (2023), Alfi Mirzan (2023), and Tiffenie Yantono Widarto (2024). The team was also accompanied by observers Nabila Fatihatul Haq (2024), Keiza Charla Artania (2025), Jovan Indra Nathaniel (2025), and Eugenea Maura Asterina (2025).

During the international rounds, the FH UNAIR delegation competed in four matches against universities from across the globe. The team faced HSE University of Russia, Duquesne University of the United States, Universidad Adolfo Ib谩帽ez of Chile, and Universidade Federal da Bahia of Brazil.

Competition journey

At the end of the tournament, the FH UNAIR team placed 93rd among 164 teams participating in the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition 2026. Mirzan, one of the delegates, said the opportunity to compete against international teams provided valuable insights and experience for future participants from UNAIR. 鈥淲e had the chance to compete against many exceptional teams with advocacy styles that were very different from those we usually encounter in Indonesia. This experience will become an important lesson for us as we continue striving to improve in the future,鈥 Mirzan said.

Support and aspirations

Widarto said the team鈥檚 journey in Washington, D.C. was marked by both challenges and determination. She emphasized that the delegation鈥檚 participation in the international rounds was made possible through the strong support of alumni, seniors, and lecturers who assisted the team throughout its preparation process.

She also expressed gratitude for the support provided by 东京热, which played a significant role in the delegation鈥檚 efforts. In addition, sponsorship from Bank Mandiri, AHP Law Firm, SSEK Law Firm, Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia, and DIANDRA Clinic was instrumental in supporting the team鈥檚 trip to Washington, D.C.
