Her victory stands as a source of pride for both her university and her family.
HAYALAN: Promoting employee well-being and productivity
Alatas鈥檚 winning infographic, titled HAYALAN: A Space Where Employees Feel Healed, Appreciated, Listened, and Nourished to Unlock Meaningful Productivity, was inspired by her observations of declining workplace productivity. Rather than merely questioning its causes, she sought to understand the underlying needs of workers. 鈥淎lmost every employee wants a healthy work-life balance. This innovation was designed to help them achieve that goal while enhancing productivity,鈥 she explained. The core message behind HAYALAN, 鈥淒reams can create miracles鈥, underscores the importance of cultivating workplaces that are empathetic, attentive, and appreciative of their employees. Alatas鈥檚 project also calls on younger generations to be more mindful of worker welfare and mental health.
Journey and challenges
Alatas admitted that her biggest obstacles were self-doubt and pessimism, especially after previous competitions that did not yield the results she hoped for. 鈥淭here were times I wanted to quit, but I realized, if I don鈥檛 try, this idea will stay just a dream,鈥 she said. That realization motivated her to keep learning, refining her concept, and delivering her presentation with full dedication. One of the most memorable parts of the competition for her was the final round, where she met participants from universities across the country. The exchange of experiences and ideas not only broadened her perspective but also sparked new creativity and inspiration.
Key to Success and topic relevance
According to Alatas, her success stemmed from a blend of unique innovation and thorough preparation for both her presentation and Q&A sessions. 鈥淚 used clear, simple language to make the concept easy to grasp, visualized every feature of the HAYALAN app, and designed a clean yet engaging infographic,鈥 she explained. She emphasized that the topic鈥檚 relevance played an important role in her victory, as workplace productivity is closely tied to employee health, a factor that directly influences the well-being of the broader community.
Looking ahead, Alatas hopes to become more confident in sharing her ideas and to make a greater impact on society. She also encouraged other students to take risks and embrace creativity. 鈥淒on鈥檛 fear failure, every idea you have is worth sharing with the world,鈥 she said. Alatas expressed her gratitude to God, her parents, family, friends, and everyone involved in PHIC 2025 for their support and encouragement. She also hopes her success will inspire other young innovators to keep believing in themselves and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
