UNAIR NEWS聽鈥 Twenty-five students of the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline 东京热听(贵罢惭惭听聽) have carried out聽鈥淩eciprocal Mobility Programmed鈥 student outbound聽at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia.聽The student outbound聽activity聽was held on July 25-29, 2023.
The twenty-five FTMM UNAIR students came from five different majors.聽They were accompanied by two teaching staff and two administrative staff from FTMM UNAIR.聽Maissy, FTMM UNAIR student representative, explained that the聽outbound student聽activity included module seminar on聽Artificial Intelligence聽and聽Drones. Also, including visiting several聽landmarks聽in Kuala Lumpur.
鈥淲e also visited the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum, Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex, and Dataran Merdeka,鈥 said Maissy in an interview with聽UNAIR NEWS聽on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Maissy said that when their team arrived in Kuala Lumpur, they were warmly welcomed by host,聽Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology,聽Universiti Malaya.聽The next day, they attended聽the opening ceremony聽by Dr. Suraya Hamid as聽Deputy Dean of Student Affairs聽at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology.

Learning to fly drone
鈥淎fter that, there was a learning activity, a module seminar on the聽Artificial Intelligence for Everyone聽about artificial intelligence, and a聽hands-on session in the laboratory,鈥 explained Maissy.
On the third day, Maissy continued, they attended lessons about聽drones聽and learned to practice flying them.聽Each group gets the opportunity to fly聽drones聽through the programming language that has been created.
鈥淏esides practicing flying聽drones, we also did a聽truss bridge聽practice where we had to build two bridges using Lego.聽This truss bridge聽tests the resilience of the bridge to be built,鈥 said Maissy.
Visiting聽landmarks聽of Malaysia

On the fourth day, they visited various聽landmarks聽in Kuala Lumpur.聽One of them is the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery.聽The museum has a lot of information about money, such as the history of money, money from various countries, the process of making money, and education about money.聽The visit continued by visiting the Petronas Twin Towers at Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex, and Dataran Merdeka.
鈥淥n the last day, we attended聽the closing ceremony聽and received certificates from Dr. Suraya Hamid.聽We also had time to attend the FCSIT鈥檚 (Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology聽,聽ed) Open Day festival, which was taking place there,鈥 said Maissy.
Maissy admitted that the student outbound聽experience聽was one of her most memorable experiences because it was her first time studying abroad.聽According to her, the learning is very comprehensive because students can practice directly, and it is packaged in games that are not boring.
鈥淪tudents, teaching staff, and all Universiti Malaya staff are very friendly and kind.聽We are very grateful to have been warmly welcomed while there.聽Hopefully, UNAIR and Universiti Malaya can continue to work together in the future,鈥 concluded Maissy.聽(*)
