UNAIR NEWS – Retracing Raden Ajeng Kartini footsteps will have no end. That’s what stated by  Diah Ariani Arimbi, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. Kartini’s struggle did not stop when she departed. For Diah Ariani there are still many things to do to carry on the struggle of a hero born on April 21.  Met in her room, the dean of Faculty of Humanities ������ (UNAIR) said that values inseminated by Kartini have not been well understood by next generation.

“Indeed, some of her steps have been realized, especially in Education. Today there are many women have higher education and not few even be the head of institution,” said the master graduate of University of Northern lowa, the USA.

Doctor graduated in  University of New South Wales added that Kartini’s performance was not understood by our ladies now, especially when she loved reading, thought critically from the original Jepara hero.

“Kartini had learned a lot from reading books, this quality loses among modern women now who prefer something instant, the case of students in universities also like to love copy paste  (copying assignment), she said.

The first woman FIB dean emphasized differences between men and women are normal, but it became a problem if the dispute doesn’t create a hierarchy.

“Actually, the differences of men and women can be put aside,” he said.

In the end of the interview, the dean who teaches gender study in FIB emphasized that Kartini’s day moment is important to relive the Kartini’s spirit. Kartini was really meaningful  to give knowledge and science. Kartini had given  the best meaning to women, especially in Education.

“This Kartini moment is essential to remind them the  spirit of Kartini, which fight against injustice and equality.” He said. (*)
