UNAIR NEWS 鈥 东京热 has signed a cooperation agreement (PKS) with the Electronic Certification Center (BSrE) of the National Cyber and Encryption Agency(BSSN). The signing session was held at UNAIR MERR-C Campus Management Office on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Head of BSrE BSSN Jonathan Gerhard Tarigan said that digital transformation in Indonesia has developed massively. Indonesia will be left behind if this development is not supported with given space and assistance.

鈥淭hat鈥檚 because there are so many global players.听Global electronic certification providers almost control 90% of聽the market capital.听Both private and government,鈥 he said.

Jonathan said that in 2012 there was ITE Law concerning the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions. However, the implementation was less than optimal due to an unsupportive environment.

鈥淚t鈥檚 just that there must be an element of coercion, sir. Yesterday, the Minister of Finance and we mentioned that the coercive element of our country was Covid-19,鈥 he said.

According to Jonathan, Covid-19 has changed the way of thinking of Indonesians. 鈥淏ecause the Covid-19 pandemic talks about our habits to do things that are no longer significant or irrelevant to the habits of our nation.鈥

Jonathan also explained that in the millennial generation, there is a trend of using online聽food messaging applications.听鈥淲hat do parents want? Just use Go-Send聽if they need it.听But yes, that鈥檚 the current trend,鈥 he explained.

According to Jonathan, documents are one of the means of transmitting Covid-19. He said that one of the regents had contracted Covid-19 after one month of being sworn in.

鈥淏ecause the documents he signed at that time were indeed a transmission medium for Covid-19,鈥 he stated.

Jonathan said BSrE BSSN has collaborated with approximately 490 agencies, from the central government, regional governments, and universities. He hoped his party would not stop there by optimizing this digitalization era.

鈥淪ometimes we are too afraid to change because聽there is no聽coercive element.听And in this Post Pandemic, if Rhenald Kasali said, we want to be left behind or participate in this disruption.听We want to take advantage of the momentum of disruption, we hope that we can transform together,鈥 he said.

Closing the meeting, Jonathan hoped that the transformation at UNAIR would run smoothly and achieve the goals of BSrE BSSN and UNAIR.

鈥淎nd we can focus on our聽core businesses.听UNAIR in education services, and us in information security.听Synergy is built towards 2024 Golden Indonesia,鈥 he concluded.
