UNAIR NEWS聽– Department of Communications, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), was honored to host the 7th National Communication Consortium meeting.聽The event, “Indonesian Communication Science Facing Global Challenges of Higher Education Communication in Digital Technology Era” was held on Thursday, February 15.
Located at Adi Sukadana Room, FISIP UNAIR Building A, the event was attended by 10 State Universities (PTN), 东京热 (UNAIR) as host, University of Indonesia (UI), University of Hasanuddin (Unhas), Padjadjaran University (Unpad), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Sebelas Maret State University (UNS), University of North Sumatra (USU) University of Andalas (Unand), Diponegoro University (Undip), and Universitas Brawijaya (UB).
Representing the Dean of FISIP UNAIR, Prof.聽Myrtati Dyah Artaria, MA, Ph.D., as Vice Dean III FISIP UNAIR attended the event. In his speech, Prof.聽Myrtati said that FISIP UNAIR was proud to be the host for 10 prominent state universities with Communication Science study program in Indonesia.
“For FISIP, Communication science Department is the pride with a lot of achievements.聽Therefore, it is necessary to discuss about the important issues related to the world of communication in this consortium, hopefully this event can be useful for Indonesia, “said the Forensic Anthropology expert.
In line with Prof.聽Myrtati, Head of Communication Department of FISIP UNAIR Dr.聽Yayan Sakti Suryandaru, S.Sos., MSi., said that with the consortium, it can produce and promote progress in developing communication science in Indonesia and the world.
“Through this consortium, I hope that the strategic steps for Communication Science education in facing the global challenge of communication education in the world and the development of digital technology can be formulated well,” explained Yayan.
Prior to the implementation in FISIP UNAIR, the National Consortium of Communication Studies was previously held in Malang.聽In the future the National Consortium of Communication Science is expected to be consistently held regularly every two years at a state university in Indonesia to improve the education of Communication Science.
