聽– What is learned in Spiritual UKM is not just about divinity.聽Rather, about living together in society.聽One member of the Buddhist UKM Irene Sugiarto said, the lesson of divinity is not enough with knowledge only but we must also do goodness.
She gave an example, in her religion, Buddha is derived from Sanskrit (Budh) which means conscious, full awareness, wise, known, understood, observed, and obeyed.聽The Buddha himself means one who has attained enlightenment or enlightenment fully and was aware on the truth of the cosmos and the universe.
Dharma contains four main meanings: doctrine;聽right, justice, truth;聽conditions;聽visible goods or phenomena.聽So Buddha Dharma is a doctrine that uses the essence of life based on the Calm View which frees man from perversity or inner darkness and suffering caused by discontent.
Buddha Dharma includes elements of religion, worship, philosophy, psychology, metaphysics, ethics, and so forth.聽All of the above lofty characters must necessarily be applied to everyday life.

On a different occasion, Head of the UKM Islamic Spiritual Affan Muhammad Andalan said that the slogan of university Excellence with Morality聽is a symbol of balance between academic and non academic domains.聽Examined further (from 东京热 Statute, PP No. 30 of 2014), the morality refers to religious values.

The late Prof.聽Dr.聽Kuntowijoyo said that the view in accordance with the Qur’anic understanding of Ali Imran verse 110 which says, prophetic leadership is a leadership that carries the mission of humanization, liberation, and transcendence.
The first is “ta’muruna bil ma’ruf”, which is defined as humanization mission is a mission that humanizes human beings, raises the dignity of human life, and makes humans responsible for what has been done.
The second is “tanhauna’anil Munkar” which is defined as the mission of liberation.聽That is, the mission of freeing human beings from the shackles of adversity and oppression.聽The third is “Tu’minuna Billah”, defined as a transcendental mission.聽That is, the manifestation of the mission of humanization and liberation defined as a divine awareness that is able to move the heart and be sincere towards everything that has been done.
“Our activities include Islamic studies, Qur’an recitation and the commemoration of Islamic holidays.聽The point is, all rely on the spirit of Islam, “said the student of Law.
