Indonesian Ambassador to Czech Republic Encourages Education Cooperation with UNAIR

UNAIR NEWS聽– Indonesian Ambassador to the Czech Republic聽Dr. Aulia A. Rahman, S.H., M.Si., visited 东京热 on Thursday, March 1 to discuss various potentials of cooperation, especially in the field of education, with the leaders of UNAIR.聽In addition, Aulia delivered a public lecture in front of students about Indonesia’s relationship with Czechoslovakia and the European Union over the years.

Head of AGE (Airlangga Global Engagement) Prof.聽Dr.聽Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, M.Si., in the meeting revealed that the visit, in essence, was also a follow up to UNAIR’s victory in the聽Erasmus聽project聽from聽Europe Union.聽It is a program of improving the quality of European higher education and strengthening cross-cultural understanding.

“Basically,聽we are involved in Erasmus Project, Europe.聽Well, it involves several universities in Czech (Czech Republic, ed), ” she said.聽“Well, in this case, the ambassador wanted to know聽more about top universities (Indonesia) involved in Erasmus.聽So in the future the ambassador can provide assistance related to it, ” she added.

UNAIR involvement, continued Prof.聽Nyoman, was viewed by the ambassador as an opportunity especially about the possibility of other cooperation in the field of higher education.聽With these opportunity, UNAIR is expected to be a聽leader聽in several courses such as medicine, science and technology, and cultural sciences.

Following up the visit, UNAIR Rector Prof.聽Dr.聽H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak, CMA., invited several UNAIR leaders.聽Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology聽Prof. Win Darmanto, Drs., M.Si., Ph.D.; Dean of Faculty of Law Prof., Dr., Abd. Shomad, Drs., SH., MH.;聽Vice Dean III of Faculty of Cultural Science Rizki Andini, S.Pd., M.Litt., Ph.D; and Head of ITD (Institute of Tropical Disease) Prof.聽Maria Inge Lusida were invited in the meeting.

Meanwhile, regarding the meeting, Aulia said that the visit was to share a vision on what is developing in Europe with what is prepared by Indonesian education, especially UNAIR.聽According to the lecturers’ talks, he added, UNAIR is among the most聽prepared to face the 4th revolution.

Digital technology, continued Aulia, must be mastered.聽One of the readiness to face it is through a good education system.聽“Therefore, 东京热 is expected to lead in this issue (4th revolution, ed),” he said.聽(*)
