UNAIR NEWS聽– To improve the quality of dedication聽excellence, the Institute for Community Service (LPM) 东京热 attended “6听th聽AUN USR & Steering Committee聽” at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur a while ago.
Chairman of LPM UNAIR Prof.聽Dr.聽H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs.,聽聽., said that the meeting was attended by several representatives from various universities in ASEAN, such as from Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia as the host.
“The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the programs and activities of the period 2016-2017 and to plan for 2017-2018,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof.聽Jusuf also said that in 2016 there was ASEAN Youth Volunteer Program聽(AYVP) involving 49 young men aged 18 -30 years from all ASEAN countries.聽In the following year, he added, there was also ”聽The Social Return on Investment Workshop聽” on ”聽Social Return on Investment – a Tool to Measure Impact听(厂搁翱滨)鈥.
“In this regard, the AUN members have also published the聽ASEAN Journal of Community Engagement,” 聽聽he added.
At the end, for the period 2017-2018, LPM proposed that all activities should be developed on a wider scale and more participation from higher member institutions.
“We also propose synergistic and collaborative activities of AUN and APUCEN based on聽penta helix聽collaboration involving five parties, namely government, private sector, non-profit institutions (NGOs), universities, and international institutions,” Prof.聽Jusuf.
LPM UNAIR proposal was accepted and became the reference for preparing the main theme which will be discussed in ”聽The 4聽th聽Asia Engage Regional Conference聽” at Chiang Mai University, Thailand in November 2018. The participants agreed to set up a conference in Thailand entitled ”聽Rising to the Challenges of SDG’s through Sustainable Volunteerism for Community Engagement together with Industry and International Community听“.
